Virginia “Noni” Roventini died Aug. 27, 2010 at the age of 94. She was born in Santa Rosa in 1916 to Luigi and Irene Bertoni. She attended Lincoln School through the eighth grade after which time she worked for Franco-America Bakery and Thompson’s Photography Studio. In the years after the market closed, she stayed busy caring for her great-grandchildren, crocheting, cooking and baking biscotti every morning. She loved entertaining her extended family where nobody ever left hungry or empty-handed.
