Last chance to get tickets for third annual Cloverdale Arts Alliance casino-night fundraiser
Organizers of the popular Cloverdale Arts Alliance casino-night fundraising event are encouraging those who wish to attend to buy their tickets now, while tickets and tables are still available.
Shifting from the previous two years’ Cuban-themed galas, on Saturday, Dec. 9, attendees of the event will be transported to the mysteries of Morocco.
“We are transforming the Citrus Fairgrounds into an awesome Moroccan experience, with lively entertainment, Moroccan cuisine and casino fun,” said Mark Tharrington, Arts Alliance executive director.
The celebration, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 1 Citrus Fair Drive in Cloverdale, will also feature an open bar offering wine, beer and cocktails. There will be live and silent auctions, and dancing to Moroccan-inspired music. Tharrington urges party-goers to dress to the theme. “That’s half the fun,” he said. “The event website includes a page of costume ideas and links.”
“We had to change our event date because of the fire situation. But that means there are tickets and tables still available at this late date,” said Tharrington. “We hope people will jump on board for this celebration, which we see as one small step toward normalcy and recognizing the many blessings we have.”
Moroccan Nights is a benefit for the Cloverdale Arts Alliance, which sponsors Friday Night Live at the Plaza. Other CAA programs include the CAA Gallery, Music in the Schools initiative, monthly jazz, blues and Americana performances, art and ceramics classes, music workshops, art appreciation classes, wine courses and more.
