The Healdsburg School hosting first fundraiser
The Healdsburg School, a K-8 private school established in 2007, will be holding its first ever annual fundraiser on May 2, titled “Bravissimo!”
The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Dutcher Crossing Winery in Dry Creek Valley and all proceeds will benefit programs at the school.
During the event, guests will be able to enjoy the jazz vocals of the Larry Dunlap and Bobbe Norris quartet and participate in raffles and silent, live, and big board auctions. Wine and food will also be served. Local chef Tim Vallery will be creating small plates and unique foot pairings that enhance the fine wines of Dutcher Crossing, Domaine Chandon, and many others.
The event is designed to be “new, hip, and different-nothing predictable this time around-no sit down dinner, no black tie.” In other words, it will be “informally elegant, allowing guests an opportunity to move freely” and socialize.
There will also be 10 to 12 high-end lots including the chance to spend a day cooking alongside Chef Douglas Keane in the kitchen of the internationally-acclaimed Cyrus Restaurant.
Organizers are hoping Bravissimo will become a “must-attend event” for years to come.
Tickets are $100 each, or $85 if purchased before April 15. The event is open to persons 21 years of age or older. Anyone interested in attending the event to help THS or donating auction items can call the Bravissimo! 2009 phone line at 431-8508 or via email at thsbravissimo @gmail.com.
THS is also looking for sponsors (businesses, individuals, or families) at the “Piccolo” ($250), “Mezzo” ($500), and “Grande” ($1,000) levels to help cover the cost of event production. Anyone interested in sponsoring the event can contact Event Chair Kim Flowers at 473-9471 or via email at kim@kimberlyflowers.com.
