GRADUATION 2009: The Healdsburg School graduates 10 8th graders
The Healdsburg School (THS) celebrated eighth grade graduation on Saturday, June 6, honoring its 10 graduates.
“I hope our graduating students make the most of the wonderful education they have received thus far,” said Head of School, Sandi Passalacqua, in her opening remarks. She went on to encourage them to “soar like eagles” as they continue to pursue their future academic endeavors.
The highest honor of Valedictorian was awarded to Annamaria Sanderson of Healdsburg. Ms. Sanderson thanked her fantastic teachers at The Healdsburg School saying, “what we do in America affects other nations.”
Salutatorian was awarded to Zachary Fontanes-Halliday of Santa Rosa. Zachary thanked the “amazing teachers” at THS and Mrs. Passalacqua for making the school possible.
William Seppi, a Healdsburg community leader, presented the Exemplary Character Award to Dean De La Montana of Healdsburg.
The graduates of The Healdsburg School will be attending various high schools in the area, including Cardinal Newman, Healdsburg High, Sonoma Academy and Windsor High School. The Healdsburg School continues to grow and will be beginning its third year this fall.
