emergency prep fair

On Sept. 29, the Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds was host to the Northern Sonoma County Fire Preparedness Fair. The fair featured demonstrations from Healdsburg, Geyserville and Cloverdale fire departments, as well as from Cal Fire. Additionally, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), COPE (Citizens Organized to Prepare for Emergencies), Nuestra Comunidad and others gathered to hand out information regarding how citizens can get prepared in case of an emergency.

Learn about emergency kits and what items are important to have ready at all times. Presenters will provide a check list for personalizing home preparedness kits, discuss the different types of kits families should consider (Home Kit, Personal Go Bag, Auto Work Kit), and explain rotation methods for supplies to minimize waste and maintain the family cache.
