The following are excerpted from Cloverdale Police Department daily log entries and the daily logs of the Cloverdale Fire Department.


12:45 a.m. Prowler on North Jefferson Street. Reporting party reports someone throwing toxic powder in the neighborhood. Male, approximately 50-years-old. Unfounded.

10:58 p.m. Suspicious circumstances on North Main Street. Caller reports someone was in his car and touched him. Unfounded.

Tuesday, MARCH 14

9:53 a.m. Property taken for destruction at bank on South Cloverdale Boulevard. Reporting party requests officer for suspicious property located inside bank.

12:05 p.m. Reckless driving reported at Cloverdale Police Department on Broad Street. Party requests to speak to officer regarding speeding vehicles in the area of North Jefferson Street. Officer contacted party and will advise patrol to be visible during school hours when possible.

12:47 p.m. Suspicious circumstances on West Brookside Drive. Caller reports item taken from front porch area in the last couple of days — a two-foot tall white/gray lion statue. Advice given.

5:58 p.m. Suspicious circumstances on Levee and Crocker roads. Caller reports a red truck parked with two people smoking a meth pipe. Caller transferred to Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

6:33 p.m. Animal complaint at business on South Cloverdale Boulevard. Caller reports service dog was just approached aggressively by unleashed dogs. Caller had to throw a book at them, then was verbally assaulted by the owner of the dog. States third similar event with these dogs.

8:13 p.m. Suspicious vehicle on Healdsburg Avenue. Caller reports garbage/litter on property that may be coming from a motorhome that parks overnight. Requests officers patrol the area and that the occupants of the motorhome be moved along.


6:09 p.m. Street or traffic equipment hazard on West Second Street. Caller not on scene reports tree may be down in the area and blocking a gate. Dispatch contacted the owner of the property who will handle.

11:16 p.m. Suspicious circumstances on Sunrise Drive. Reporting party requests an officer to come over and check around the property because their dog is barking at “something outside” and they are concerned because they had a break-in last week. Checks OK.


 8:57 a.m. Warrant attempt service on University Street. Marin County Sheriff requests attempt to serve a citable warrant. Citation to appear.

11:33 a.m. Disturbance on South Cloverdale Boulevard. Multiple calls received, language barrier, clerks reporting male subject is trying to use a card to pay and when he couldn’t started making a mess in the store and arguing with the clerk. Callers believe subject may be homeless. Resolved.

11:42 a.m. Suspicious vehicle on Josephine Drive. Caller reports subject sitting in a van seems to be watching the house across from this location. Officer responded, vehicle gone on arrival.

1:43 p.m. Vandalism on South Cloverdale Boulevard. Caller reports broken window caused by a rock, requests to make report so a copy can be forwarded to business owners, has pictures that can be forwarded.

2:36 p.m. Citizen assist at Cloverdale Police Department on Broad Street. Walk-in requests to speak to officer about possible drug activity at a residence on his street.

5:25 p.m. Meet the citizen at Cloverdale Police Department on Broad Street. Reporting party reports someone keeps coming on his property and “dusting it with toxic powder.”


8:47 a.m. Traffic hazard at Northbound 101 and Theresa Drive. Caller reports ladder in second lane, one to two miles before the South Cloverdale Boulevard exit. Transferred to CHP.

11:36 a.m. Warrant attempt service on University Street. Marin County Sheriff requests attempt to serve a citable warrant.

4:11 p.m. Juvenile problem on Charles Street. Caller reports three juveniles just left the property after bullying her daughter. Second occurance, requests to speak with officer.

7:40 p.m. Warrant attempt service on Dina Street. Unable to locate.

8 p.m. Warrant attempt service on Railroad Avenue. Unable to locate

9:41 p.m. Juvenile problem on Riesling Street. Reporting party reports three to four juveniles ran up and banged on his door and took off running toward Lavender Court. Reporting party states no damage done, just mischief, but would like an officer to come to the area and warn juveniles. Gone on arrival.

10:09 p.m. Miscellaneous service on Furber Lane. Reporting party reports five to six males who were playing basketball in this area banged on her car as she drove down Furber to pick up her daughter, and then did it again when she came back with her daughter. Party reports no harm to her car, but would like males talked to about harassing drivers as they pass.


8:43 p.m. Assist out at East Third Street and North Cloverdale Boulevard. Caller reports tree down across from location, Cal Fire notified and Public Works responding.

9:02 p.m. Suspicious circumstances on Rosewood Drive. Three to four cars in front of house, believes there was a party there earlier. Sounds like the people there are breaking glass bottles, unsure if they are doing so in the street or somewhere else. Officers report unfounded.


2:17 a.m. Drunk driving on Railroad Avenue. Reporting party has already contacted CHP about possible drunk driver.

11:35 a.m. Suspicious circumstances on East First Street. Caller reports hearing someone yell for help. Unable to locate.

8:57 a.m. Rescue on Skyview Drive for a female patient with a fall down a hiking trail. No transport.

11:17 p.m. Medical aid on Creekside Street for an 86-year-old female with a ground level fall. No transport.

Tuesday, MAY 14

8:45 a.m. Public assist on Porterfield Creek Drive. Assist homeowner with locating a caregiver that never showed up.

8:54 a.m. Structure fire on North Street. Assist Healdsburg Fire with a commercial structure fire. Canceled enroute.

10:12 a.m. Medical aid on Merlot Drive for an 81-year-old female feeling ill. Transported to Kaiser.


6:54 a.m. Vehicle accident on Highway 101 in Hopland. Assist Hopland with a vehicle on its side off of the roadway.

3:59 p.m. Medical aid on Alter Street for a female patient feeling ill. Transported to Kaiser.


10:50 a.m. Medical aid on Rockwell Road for a male patient with difficulty breathing. Transported to Healdsburg General Hospital.

3:24 p.m. Medical aid on Railroad Avenue for a male patient feeling ill from medical treatments. Transported to Healdsburg General Hospital.

5:01 p.m. Medical aid on North Jefferson Street. Coroner’s case.

7:35 p.m. Medical aid on North Washington Street for a female having seizures. Transported to Healdsburg General Hospital.


8:58 a.m. Medical aid on Hillside Drive. Coroner’s case.

9:23 p.m. Medical aid on Cherry Creek Road for a 75-year-old male with shortness of breath and chest pain. Transported to Kaiser.


1:34 p.m. Medical aid on Cherry Creek Road for a male with shortness of breath. Transported to Sutter.

1:49 p.m. Medical aid on Porterfield Creek Drive for a 92-year-old male feeling week and ill. Transported to Kaiser.

1:58 p.m. Medical aid on Chrome Iron Road for a 33-year-old male feeling dizzy. Transported by wife.

8:44 p.m. Tree down at Third Street and Cloverdale Boulevard.
