The following are excerpted from the Cloverdale Police Department daily log and the Cloverdale Fire Protection District daily log.

Cloverdale Police Log: Hot sauce on car, drug activity at park, woman with baby panhandling


12:28 a.m. Veteran’s crisis hotline reports suicide threat on Zinfandel Court. Officer responded and assisted.

9:00 a.m. Caller reports someone hit his brother’s car last night and left a dent, Elm Street.

1:20 p.m. Citizen stated she saw on the news last night a red Dodge was involved in a race and hit and run. She just saw a red Dodge drive through town, unsure if it’s the same vehicle.

3:26 p.m. Citizen reports someone put hot sauce on their mother’s car.

4:07 p.m. Caller reports juvenile started swinging at her brother today at school.

4:19 p.m. Accident at East 1st Street and North East Street with minor injuries.


9:05 a.m. Monitoring children as they walk from school to the district office at North Street and North Cloverdale Boulevard.

6:17 p.m. Caller reports four juveniles wearing dark sweatshirts are engaging in drug activity in the BBQ pit at park on West 2nd Street. Citation to appear.

9:04 p.m. Caller reports several juveniles in the playground area at Grape Gables Way and Douglas Fir Circle throwing bottles and carrying flashlight. Suspects they are drinking. Unable to locate.

9:31 p.m. Caller reports several juveniles at park on Healdsburg Avenue. Caller heard a “pop” then juveniles ran down Riesling.

9:41 p.m. Caller reports same group of juveniles ran when the officer turned on his light and they have since returned to the park on Healdsburg Avenue.

10:55 p.m. Caller requests man be told he is not welcome on the property of business on South Cloverdale Boulevard. Warned and advised.


9:53 a.m. Citizen reports same vehicle from two weeks ago is still parked on the corner at Allen Avenue and Debmar Lane. Tagged two weeks ago and has not moved.

2:47 p.m. Parking violation on South Foothill Boulevard. Citation given.

11:04 p.m. Caller reports people are trying to break into his house at both the front and back door. Stayed on line, while units were dispatched, until he stated, “They got in!” and hung up.


7:55 a.m. Suicide attempt, caller requests assistance with her son on South Foothill Boulevard.

9:07 a.m. Coroner’s case on Clark Avenue.

11:16 a.m. Suspicious person on Citrus Fair Drive, man not wearing a shirt and has a black bandana over his face. Gone on arrival.

3:51 p.m. Hispanic woman with a baby panhandling in front of grocery store on South Cloverdale Boulevard. Moved along.


6:43 a.m. Caller reports there is a lady in the park area of new apartments on Healdsburg Avenue yelling and has been yelling for a while. Unable to locate.

6:17 p.m. Caller reports suspicious person banging on the door, yelling on East 1st Street.

6:29 p.m. Caller reports two vehicle accident at South Cloverdale Boulevard and Brookside Drive. Two sedans, minors, no injuries.

7:36 p.m. Walk in warrant arrest.


1:02 a.m. Caller reports her daughter is at her house threatening to break in if she doesn’t open the door. Caller is not home and does not want her daughter there. Citation to appear.

8:06 a.m. Caller reports a two vehicle accident on North Cloverdale Boulevard, no injuries, and requests an officer to come.

2:06 p.m. Caller reports she is trying to leave her mom’s house and family is yelling at her. She requests an officer present.

5:42 p.m. Officer witnessed a vehicle collision on North Cloverdale Boulevard while on another call. Arrest made.

6:51 p.m. Caller reports loud music coming from neighbors house. Officer talked to involved parties, music is not too loud.


1:07 a.m. Caller reports possible drunk driver at North Cloverdale Boulevard and West Second Street. DUI arrest, citation to appear.

5:26 p.m. Coroner’s case on Red Mountain Road.

5:32 p.m. CDF reports possible two vehicle accident north of Asti exit southbound on US 101. Referred to other agency.

12:25 p.m. Medical aid for man with diabetic issue on Venezia Way. Did not transport.

4:22 p.m. Vehicle accident, no injury, on North East Street.


2:03 a.m. Vegetation fire at the north part of the River Park off of McCray Road. 20 by 30 spot.

4:02 a.m. Medical aid for 96-year-old woman with a ground level fall on Porter Field Creek.

4:02 p.m. Medical aid for man possibly choking. Transported to Healdsburg District Hospital.


2:14 p.m. Medical aid on Lake Street. False alarm.

11:01 p.m. Vehicle accident at South Cloverdale Boulevard and Industrial Drive. Police patrol car rolled over, moderate injuries. Transported to the trauma center.


6:41 a.m. Medical aid for woman with a ground level fall on Vista View Drive. Woman had been drinking. Transported to Healdsburg District Hospital.

No time available: Medical aid for patient on South Foothill Drive who took excessive amounts of Tylenol.

9:08 a.m. Medical aid for 70-year-old woman on Clark Street. Turned out to be a coroner’s case.


4:57 a.m. Single vehicle accident. Vehicle off of roadway and onto the river bank on US 101 at Cominski.

11:40 a.m. Medical aid for a man injured from a previous fall on Lake Street. Transported to Kaiser Hospital.

6:33 p.m. Two vehicle accident on South Brookside Drive. No transport. Fire installed spare tire on vehicle two so it was drivable. Vehicle one was towed.


4:40 p.m. Medical aid for woman on South Cloverdale Boulevard. Emotional aid given by Police Department. Did not transport.

5:30 p.m. Medical aid for man feeling ill after smoking marijuana on Broad Street. Vitals taken, did not transport.

No time available: Single vehicle accident. Woman ran car into a pole. Medical evaluation completed, did not transport.


11:11 a.m. Medical aid for man with arm pain. Evaluated at the scene, did not transport.

5:18 p.m. Medical aid standby for a welfare check on Red Mountain Drive. Police on scene.

7:10 p.m. Vehicle accident southbound on US 101 at Asti.

No time available: Medical aid for dog bite on Dutcher Creek Road. Transported to Healdsburg District Hospital.

7:34 p.m. Medical aid for man who fell on Hillside Drive. Transported to Kaiser Hospital.
