On Saturday, Dec. 1, two unnamed Cloverdale residents were victims of a home invasion and shooting.

The Cloverdale Police Department responded to the 911 call on North Foothill Boulevard at approximately 7:19 p.m. Once at the scene, the responding officers found two injured adults. One male victim had injuries to the face, and the other was a female who had sustained a gunshot wound to her abdomen. Both victims were transported via ambulance to the hospital.

According to Sergeant Chris Parker, the suspects were able to enter the residence through an unlocked door.

According to a press release from the CPD, the suspects had fled the scene prior to the arrival of the officers and took off in an unknown direction. The suspects were described by the victims as being two African American adult men wearing dark clothing, possibly black hoodies. One of the subjects was carrying a handgun with an unknown make, model and caliber.

As of press time, Parker said that the CPD has received tips from people who report having seen people who look similar to the reported description of the subjects, and that the department is following up on every report they receive.

The department is asking anyone with information regarding the invasion to contact Officer Beau Gastineau of the Cloverdale Police Department at 707-894-2150. When calling, refer to case 18-1063.
