West County Charter Middle School in Forestville conducted its first promotion ceremony on Wednesday evening, May 30, as it celebrated sending 44 students on to local high schools. The West Sonoma County Union High School District took over the middle school operation last year from the former Forestville Academy.

Guerneville School promoted 34 8th graders in its class of 2018 during a ceremony attended by more than 100 people last week at the school on Armstrong Woods Road.

The Monte Rio School promoted four 8th graders in a graduation ceremony at the school last week. “I have the utmost confidence every one of you has the ability to succeed,” said school Principal Nate Myers at the ceremony in the school multipurpose room.
