GOURDS OF A FEATHER — The 12th annual Calabash — A Celebration of Gourds, Art and the Garden took place on Sunday at Food For Thought, Sonoma County’s AIDS food bank, in Forestville. The event featured gourd inspired art as well as music produced on instruments made from gourds. There was food, wine, a silent auction and a tour of FFT’s organic garden. The Occidental Arts and Ecology Center co-hosted the event, which is the largest fundraiser of the year for the food bank that serves 650 men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS throughout Sonoma County. For more information about FFT or to volunteer or donate, go to fftfoodbank.org or call 887-1647.
