The traffic headaches continue for cars traveling into Sebastopol, as Caltrans will begin a project to repair Highway 116 at Green Valley Road near Graton beginning Monday, May 2.

According to Caltrans, the project will involve one-way reversible traffic control during the day, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The traffic control, which will occur between Forestville and Sebastopol, will begin Monday, May 2 and continue into mid-June. Motorists should expect brief delays and allow additional time to reach their destination.

“It seems like Caltrans loves West County this month,” said Mayor Sarah Glade Gurney.

If work is delayed due to weather conditions, it will be rescheduled.

Caltrans asks drivers to please drive cautiously through the construction zone, leave a safe traveling distance between vehicles and “slow for the cone zone.”
