Peacetown concert

Here’s the line-up for this summer’s Peacetown Concert Series. All of the concerts are free.

June 12 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Peacetown opens with the eight-piece, rockin’ show band the Poyntlyss Sistars, playing your favorite rock-R&B-Motown and pop.  Opening is the funky electric blues of the Blues Burners.

June 19 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Peacetown welcomes Dr. Loco's Rockin' Jalapeño Band from San Francisco, an exciting mix of Chicano and tropical Tex Mex tunes.  Opening is the hard rocking Hangman’s Daughter, featuring Sherrie Philips. 

June 26 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Peacetown proudly presents the timeless Chicago blues legend Nick Gravenites and his amazing all star band.  The legendary The Ace of Cups open the show. All ladies and all kickass musicians.

July 4 — Thursday (Special Show from 12:00-6:00pm)

 Peacetown goes international with Scottish band The Old Blind Dogs Celtic music, mixed with rock, reggae, and jazz.  Opening is FulaMuse combining MaMuse and the African Fula Brothers.

July 10 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Peacetown opens its arms to the powerhouse R&B vocals of Bay area favorite Annie Sampson along with her enormously funky band.   Opening is Hoytus & New Paradise playing original, reggae-ish R&B.

July 17 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

This week in Peacetown it’s The Big Fit and their high-octane funk, soul with horns, organ and groove wrapped up in thick, juicy vocals. Yum.   Opening is Solid Air and their sweet west coast folk-rock Americana.

July 24 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Peacetown favorites the Duo Quartet featuring Nina Gerber and Chris Webster plus Pam Delgado and Jeri Jones from Blame Sally, will play a listening set of acoustic music. Opening is SonoMusette and the enchanting music of 20th Century Paris.

July 31 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

New to Peacetown this year, Marshall Law Band.  Sam Marshall is a guitar slinger, a drop dead soul singer, and a body builder, who plays great music.  Opening is the BlueByrds, paying tribute to the music of The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and Bob Dylan. 

August 7 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Africa comes to Peacetown with Onye & The Messengers and their uplifting and hypnotic trance-dance music and Nigerian village rhythms   Opening is Batacha playing hot and jazzy salsa dance music.

August 14 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Peacetown is proud to present the phenomenal guitarist Volker Strifler, whose roots are in the blues, but he brings rock, jazz and New Orleans too. Opening is blues guitarist Levi Lloyd, and his down home feel good band.

August 21 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Peacetown favorites Tom Rigney & Flambeau bring  their high energy Cajun/zydeco/R&B show to Ives Park. Opening is Mr Music & Friends with an all star band and a great community sing along.

August 28 — Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Ives Park

Closing Peacetown is the tradition of Poor Man’s Whiskey with a super foot-stompin' Rock n' Roll bluegrass Grand Finale for the Season. Add some exotic erotic Belly Dancers to the stage and it will be smokin’.
