The Healdsburg Prune Packers continued their dominance on the summer collegiate baseball circuit, claiming another six victims in pushing their winning streak to nine games and season record to 21-2.

The Packer’s latest stretch began on June 26 in a 17-3 rout over the PUF Caps, followed by successive wins over the Lincoln Potters (4-1) and Oaks (8-2). Healdsburg finished off the weekend with a three-game home and away sweep over the Solano Mudcats (19-3, 11-6, 8-3).

At roughly the halfway mark in the summer schedule, the Pack find themselves at the top of the California Collegiate League north division standings at 11-1, followed by the Potters (5-6) and Mudcats (5-9).

Healdsburg will open a 12-game home-stand at Recreation Park on July 3 against the WC Kings (6 p.m.), followed by subsequent games versus the SF Seals (July 4, 5 p.m.), Potters (July 5 and 6, 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 7 11 a.m.). 

Team leaders     

The success of the Prune Packers could be directly tied to their offense, with the team carrying a gaudy, .331 batting average through 23 games. Individual leaders by average include Jason Dicochea (.514, 29 runs, 9 2Bs, 4 HRs, 24 RBIs), Cal Conley (.467, 9 runs, 11 RBIs), Cam Blake (.442, 13 runs, 2 HRs, 15 RBIs), Bryson Hill (.367, 17 runs, 2 HRs, 18 RBIs), Joe Lampe (.354, 13 runs, 1 HR, 10 RBIs), Bryan Sturges (.354, 29 runs, 3 HRs, 15 RBIs), Travis Turney (.349, 23 runs, 4 HRs, 25 RBIs), Connor Mack (.333, 24 runs, 1 HR, 23 RBIs) and John Lagattuta (.308, 1 HR, 15 RBIs). The team has clubbed 23 homers this season.

Pitching leaders are Ian Villers (2-0, 17 IP, 32 Ks, 1.59 ERA), Chrit Rudkin (1-0, 13 IP, 1.39 ERA), Colby Morris (2-0, 8 IP, 2.25 ERA), Andrew Hansen (14 IP, 1.93 ERA), Kenny Haus (1-0, 11 IP, 2.46 ERA), Randy Palonia (1-0, 11 IP, 21 Ks, 2.46 ERA), Trey Garlett (2-0, 15.33 IP, 2.94 ERA) and Morgan White (2-0, 15 IP, 22 Ks, 3.60 ERA).
