Principal Benita Jones retiring

After 41 years of service in public education, Benita Jones is retiring as principal of Mattie Washburn Elementary School. Jones has served 35 years in the Windsor Unified School District, the last 25 years of them at Mattie Washburn Elementary. Current and former students and their families are invited to share memories and refreshments at a reception in her honor on Wednesday, May 16 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the Mattie Washburn gymnasium.
